Located in Walla Walla, Washington, it serves the surrounding communities to offer primary and specialty care in most areas of medicine including imaging, therapeutic and diagnostic services, and is pleased to offer the services of the community's only Ambulatory Surgery Center.

In August 2023, Privia Medical Group – Washington (PMG WA) was launched with Walla Walla Clinic to expand our shared belief that caring for patients is a privilege. Together, we aim to build a scalable, physician-led network across Washington state to enhance patient care, improve accessibility, and unite providers while preserving autonomy.
Position Summary
The CEO serves as the top executive leader of a physician-owned, multi-specialty clinic. This is an in-person/on-site role. This individual is responsible for the strategic direction, operational oversight, financial performance, and cultural integrity of the Walla Walla Clinic. The CEO works in close partnership with the Board of Directors, physician stakeholders and Privia Medical Group – Washington (PMG WA) leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care while maintaining the independence and values of a physician-led model. The following eight Directors report to the CEO: Practice Operations, IT/Radiology, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Audiology, Physical Therapy, Finance, Human Resources, and Facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Assures company structure is appropriate to accomplish strategic initiatives and in alignment with mission, vision, and values.
- Proactively monitors industry trends and emerging developments to inform, develop, and execute long-term strategic direction, providing actionable recommendations that drive organizational growth, service line expansion, and innovation in care delivery.
- Creates and actualizes business diversification to grow and sustain the viability of Walla Walla Clinic.
- Ensures the strategic plan is articulated both internally and externally.
- Stay abreast of healthcare trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics
- Effectively delegates key activities to ensure timely execution and actualization of the strategic plan initiatives.
- Responsible for rebranding initiatives and oversight of brand development.
- Manages strategic external partnerships and relationships to support practice goals, fostering collaboration and long-term value.
- Oversee daily operations across multiple specialties and clinic sites.
- Ensure consistent implementation of policies, procedures, and standards.
- Promote operational efficiency and excellence in patient care.
- In partnership with the Director of Human Resources:
- Recognizes the ongoing strength and success of Walla Walla Clinic relies in our people resources and engages all members of the workforce appropriately to meet our mission.
- Creates a culture of lean and continuous improvement.
- Develops physician leaders.
- Establishes cultural competence guidelines to support a diverse workforce.
- Creates and/or executes an internal communication strategy to keep the workforce informed appropriately.
- In collaboration with the Physician Leaders & Director of Practice Operations:
- Has overall responsibility for the design, marketing, promotion, delivery, risk management, and quality of all Walla Walla Clinic services provided to our communities.
- Ensures that policies and practices effectively support sound and safe patient care, and that the delivery of healthcare services provides a positive experience to the patient.
- Lead budgeting, financial planning, and P&L management.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Manage key partner relationships including banking, payers and vendors.
- Negotiate non-payer contracts.
- In partnership with the Director of Finance:
- Recommends an annual budget (both capital and operating) for Board approval and ensures prudent management of resources within those budget guidelines.
- Optimizes cash flows, minimizes expenses, and ensures overall sustained profitability of Walla Walla Clinic.
- Ensures that appropriate financial controls are established and maintained.
- Foster a collaborative, transparent relationship with physician owners and medical staff.
- Develop strategy and serve as primary liaison for all physician and advanced practitioner recruitment activities.
- Support recruitment, retention, and development of non-clinician personnel.
- Promote a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors. Non-voting member of the Board.
- Supports the operations and administration of the Board of Directors by maintaining continual, open, and effective communication with members and physician stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on organizational performance, strategic initiatives, and industry developments.
- Develops and maintains critical relationships with physician owners and other providers.
- Facilitate board education and engagement.
- Actively participate as a member on several standing committees including Advanced Practitioner, Bylaws, Budget, IT, Physician Compensation, Quality Improvement, Retirement, Risk Management, Rural Health and Space Planning.
- In collaboration with General External Counsel and Privia:
- Ensures Walla Walla Clinic complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations as they apply to the operation of the business.
- Oversees the negotiation of professional, consultant and service contracts.
- Participates in issues surrounding ethics and quality.
- Represents Walla Walla Clinic to external stakeholders, including patients, partners, regulators, and the public.
- Enhance the practice’s reputation and visibility in the community.
- Advocate for resources and policies that support the practice’s mission.
- Represents Walla Walla Clinic’s strategic interests in its relationship with Privia Medical Group – Washington, ensuring alignment and collaboration on shared goals.
- Through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, assures that Walla Walla Clinic and its mission, programs, and essential services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders: patients, employees, physician owners, other providers, community partners, hospitals, governmental agencies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or finance/accounting or equivalent is required.
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of executive leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably ambulatory physician practice.
- Proven success in leading physician-owned and/or multi-specialty practices.
- Experience in creatively and effectively creating diverse revenue streams within the healthcare setting
- Strong financial and accounting acumen and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, with a strong understanding of communications technologies to support effective engagement.
- Demonstrated success in leading, building a team, and inspiring achievement.
