Position Summary Stratum Medical is hiring a Senior Data Solutions Architect into the newly formed Data Services Organization (DSO); a strategic initiative to centralize data and analytics across our multi-specialty MSO. We’re looking for a versatile, hands-on expert with a rare combination of skills: someone who can build data pipelines, develop scalable analytics products, understand healthcare nuances, and serve as a thought partner to the CDO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, wears multiple hats, and wants to build the foundation of a modern healthcare data platform from the ground up. You’ll work side-by-side with the CDO on everything from cloud architecture to BI dashboards to advanced analytics; with immediate, measurable impact across care quality, financial performance, and population health.
Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Engineering
Build and optimize Redshift-based pipelines integrating EHR, PM, claims, and value-based care data
Maintain robust data models, primary keys, lineage, and documentation using dbt and Git-based workflows
Design reusable, performant views for downstream analytics and self-service tools
Analytics & Decision Support
Develop clinical, financial, and operational metrics for use in dashboards and executive reporting
Collaborate with front-line stakeholders to translate complex questions into scalable data products
Build prototypes of dashboards and exploratory tools in BI platforms like Sigma or Looker
Product & Strategy Enablement
Help define data product roadmaps aligned with DSO’s goals
Contribute to scalable frameworks for patient attribution, benchmarking, HCC scoring, and more
Operate as a cross-functional expert, blending technical execution with deep healthcare domain knowledge
Team Growth & Leadership
Serve as a technical mentor as the DSO team scales
Contribute to standards around testing, documentation, code review, and agile delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field required
Master’s Degree preferred
8+ years of experience in healthcare data, analytics engineering, or data science
Proven ability to build end-to-end data solutions in modern cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Advanced SQL skills with expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and ETL orchestration
Strong fluency in healthcare domains: EHR, PM, payer/claims, and value-based care models
Experience using dbt, Redshift, Git, and BI tools such as Sigma, Looker, or Tableau
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in high-ambiguity settings
